SwitchPod

A product drawn from a filming problem

SwitchPod's own origin story begins with Flynn and Wojcik watching video makers struggle to switch between handheld recording and setting a camera down at a 2017 conference. They developed an accessory around that repeated movement rather than treating a conventional tripod as an exact fit for the task.

The product launched through Kickstarter in early 2019 and began shipping later that year. The company's history connects the design, campaign and delivery stages, illustrating the work between recognizing a creator's problem and supplying manufactured equipment.

An equipment system for everyday creation

The core product is a compact support designed for handheld and tripod use. The storefront also offers accessories for mounting and adapting equipment. SwitchPod therefore operates as a physical-product business, with specifications, compatibility, fulfillment and customer support forming part of the offer. Published performance descriptions remain the manufacturer's account of its design.
