THE COMPANY FILES
Defense technology & autonomous systems
Anduril
Anduril is the defense-technology company co-founded by Palmer Luckey and others in 2017, combining physical products with software for sensing, autonomy and connected operational information.
Explore the offeringA founding team and a product-led approach
Anduril's founding team included Palmer Luckey, Brian Schimpf, Trae Stephens, Matt Grimm and Joe Chen. Company and investor materials identify Luckey's founding relationship while distinguishing the chief executive role held by Schimpf.
The company's mission describes privately funding product development and offering completed capabilities to customers. This places an entrepreneurial decision about what to build alongside the engineering work needed to make it useful in a particular operational setting.
Physical systems connected through software
Lattice is central to Anduril's published account of how information and systems connect across its product range. Manufacturing and support remain important alongside software development. A May 2025 announcement with Meta described joint extended-reality development and integration with that platform, providing a documented partnership rather than a claim that the companies or all of their products had merged.
