Software marketplace
AppSumo
AppSumo is the software marketplace founded by Noah Kagan, bringing offers from software businesses to entrepreneurs looking for tools to start, organize and develop their work.
Explore the offeringA marketplace that began with one deal
Noah Kagan founded AppSumo in 2010, with his own account identifying an Imgur Pro offer as an early starting point. The business developed around a connection between software companies seeking distribution and entrepreneurs seeking access to useful tools.
AppSumo's company page describes partnerships with software makers as central to its model. The platform is therefore both a destination for buyers and a distribution channel for participating businesses, rather than the developer of every product it lists.
Connecting discovery with a purchase
Customers encounter products through listings and promotional offers, then evaluate the features and access terms relevant to their work. Software businesses gain exposure to a market interested in business tools. A limited offer is a way to structure that introduction; the value of any purchase still depends on the particular product, the terms and its continuing usefulness.
